Kim Jong Un intresse av revolution och inbördeskrig är begripligt men det innebär inte att han rätt tolkade den syriska revolutionen i den teori han uttrycker i sin hälsning till Syrien.
I all rimlighet var revolutionen redan i rörelse när hungerstrejken mars 2011 (som rapporterat) adderade till protester över stora delar av samhället åtminstone i regioner av Syrien. Även om det i mer konkreta och kanske mer "formella" beslut kan argumenteras att protesterna passerade en mer argumenterad gränszon till revolution dom här dagarna (litande på Wikipedias tidslinje):
"7 March, thirteen political prisoners in Syria went on hunger strike,[2] demanding an end to political arrests and the restitution of rights that have been removed from civil and political life.
10 March, dozens of Syrian Kurds started hunger strike in solidarity with those of 7 March.
12 March, Syrian Kurds protested in al-Qamishli and in al-Hasakah.
Tuesday 15 March, dubbed "day of rage" by activists, hundreds staged protests in Damascus and Aleppo, calling for democratic reforms. The protest in Damascus was violently dispersed.

Jag ifrågasätter också hela gratulationen: givet Nordkoreas återkommande problem med undernäring och svält känns det smaklöst.
Och med något av samma osmaklighet kanske: Hade nu hungerstrejk varit så avgörande borde inte samma effekt uppstå mycket mer i Nordkorea? Valfriheten varande agerande resp. när hindrar påverkar självklart men ändå ska ju någon skaleffekt kunna förväntas om Kim Jong Un teori alls ska kunna verifieras.
Teorin uttryckt i hälsningen till al-Assad finns hos The Korean Central News Agency ("state-run agency of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea"):
"Pyongyang, March 5 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, Wednesday sent a message of greeting to Bashar Al-Assad, president of the Syrian Arab Republic."

"The March 8 revolution in Syria marked the occasion of a historical turn in the efforts of the Syrian people for the political and economic development of the country, it said.
The message wished the Syrian president good health and bigger achievements in his responsible work, expressing the belief that the Syrian people will win victory in the struggle to meet challenges of the hostile forces at home and abroad and defend the sovereignty, dignity, territorial integrity and security of the country under his correct leadership."

Annat i Nordkorea kan finnas att lära av. Med avregleringen av europeiska elmarknaden kanske Sverige borde börja lyfta fram sin miljövänliga energi? Kanske rent av på officiella emblem likt Nordkorea. Det känns spontant rätt att se miljövänlig energi som något ett land vågar lyfta fram tydligt kanske i protest mot alla de problem Kinas folk lider av i städerna.
